The Qolsys IQPanel4 Wifi6 Mesh router is a state-of-the-art router that supports both IPv4 and IPv6 and has as many as three (3) network partitions enabled. There is a Guest Network, a Main Network and a Security Network partition. Each partition supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WIFI and the device always has band steering enabled. This means that devices are automatically switched between the two network bands depending on which WIFI band offers the best performance for each individual device.
Most routers offer a primary network and a guest network, but the IQ WIFI 6 stands out with its additional (third) Security Network. By placing all WIFI equipment related to the security system on the Security Network, the dealer can control the data for this partition and ensure that it is not changed, accidentally or otherwise. This means that the equipment linked to the security system remains connected and can communicate on behalf of the customer.
De uitgebreide lijn camera's en Qolsys alarmpanelen van Alarm.com verhuizen automatisch naar het Security Network als ze in eerste instantie zijn ingesteld via een van de andere partities. De alarmdealer kan de IQPanel4 Wifi6 Mesh router op afstand configureren en problemen oplossen via het Alarm.com Partner Portal of de Mobile Tech app. De eindgebruiker kan zijn netwerk ook zelf op afstand configureren via de Alarm.com klantenwebsite en/of iOS of Android App. Zo kan iedere bevoegde gebruiker dus eenvoudig een WIFI probleem oplossen. Lukt dit niet dan kan de alarmdealer op afstand helpen.
The IQ WIFI 6 can be connected to an existing router as a parallel network configuration, providing an extra layer of security for anyone trying to hack into your devices from the outside. If you use the IQPanel4 Wifi6 router in parallel, if a main router is subsequently changed, all connected WIFI devices connected via the Wifi6 router will be as if nothing had happened.
Due to its Mesh network, it has a coverage area of about 457㎡ per point and up to eight (8) different nodes can be used. One node, usually the IQPanel4 Wifi6 Mesh router, acts as the controller and up to seven (7) IQ WIFI devices act as agents. The panels IQ Panel 2 & 2 Plus, IQ Panel 4 and IQ4 Hub can all be used to configure the IQ WIFI 6 locally, as long as they each have the latest version of their respective firmware and are connected to the IQPanel4 Wifi6 Mesh router or the IQ WIFI network.
