Notifier NRX-TFIX58 Agile Wireless Heat Detector 58°C

The NRX-TFIX58 is a wireless thermal detector from Notifier suitable up to 58°C. As soon as this temperature is reached in the room, the detector goes into alarm. The detector is integrated in an analog fire alarm system. This means that a local alarm can be triggered instead of the entire system going into alarm. The address can be set by means of the rotary switches on the back of the NFXI-TFIX58. In addition, the thermal detector is equipped with an isolator that ensures that the rest of the detectors continue to function if it has a single fault.

Wireless components

The wireless components in the Agile series are suitable for analog fire alarm systems. In order to install them wirelessly, the NRX-USB and NRXI-GATE are required. The addressing can be set via the two rotary switches on the back. The NRX-TFIX58 can be placed in the installation via a B501RF pedestal.

Product Questions

After how many years do I have to replace an old fire detector with a new one?
Question by: Wolfgang on Jun 7, 2025, 1:22 PM
A fire detector (smoke / heat detector) should generally be replaced every 10 years. This is the standard service life of most smoke detectors, including those from Jablotron, Notifier and DSC.

Why replace after 10 years?
> Sensor ageing: The smoke detector loses its sensitivity over time.
> Battery wear: Even models with long-life batteries can run out after 10 years.
> Reliability: After 10 years, the risk of faults increases and security systems must always be reliable.
