Notifier NFXI-BEAM-TE Addressable Beam 100 metres with Self-Test Function

The NFXI-BEAM-TE is a beam which is suitable for an analogue fire alarm system. The beam is equipped with optical line detectors, which means that it detects smoke over a large distance using infrared. This makes the beam ideal for use in large spaces such as warehouses and atriums. The NFXI-BEAM-T offers the possibility to protect up to 1200m². (12x100 metres).

The sensitivity of NFXI-BEAM-TE can be set differently. There are 4 defined settings and 2 variable sensitivity settings. The beam is also equipped with a LED indicator which shows when the beam is in stand-by, in alarm or in failure. The NFXI-BEAM-T is powered from the loop and comes as a kit with a short distance reflector for 5 to 70 meters.

The NFXI-BEAM-TE is equipped with a self-test function. This makes it possible to test the beam itself for optical functions and on-board electronics. A fire is simulated to generate an alarm.

Product Questions

After how many years do I have to replace an old fire detector with a new one?
Question by: Wolfgang on Jun 7, 2025, 1:22 PM
A fire detector (smoke / heat detector) should generally be replaced every 10 years. This is the standard service life of most smoke detectors, including those from Jablotron, Notifier and DSC.

Why replace after 10 years?
> Sensor ageing: The smoke detector loses its sensitivity over time.
> Battery wear: Even models with long-life batteries can run out after 10 years.
> Reliability: After 10 years, the risk of faults increases and security systems must always be reliable.
